Hi! I'm Lei Du, a Game Systems and Gameplay Designer.

 

I graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) with a degree in Game Development. My professional experience includes working at NetEase Games, where I contributed to the development of MMORPG.

I am proficient in using various cross-disciplinary development tools, with a particular specialization in the Blueprint development workflow within Unreal Engine. I am passionate about exploring and implementing innovative gameplay experiences.

Beyond the Ticking

You play Elarae, lost between timelines, using time-control powers to fight and solve light puzzles on the way back to reality.


My role: Solo designer/developer. Built the combat demo using an action framework; the boss encounter design and patterns are original.


Core loop: Learn boss telegraphs → commit to windows (dodge/slow time/attack) → escalate phases → uncover story beats.
Highlights: Readable boss states, phase escalation tied to time-control, and a compact arena layout that reinforces pattern learning.
